Differences in the education system between China and UK
China Education System:
China has adopted a nine-year compulsory schooling system, which means all children are required to attend school for at least 9 years.Children aged from 5 to 6 years old will attend kindergartens near their neighborhoods, where they learn the basics of the native language and subjects.Children start school at 7-8 years old in primary school, which requires 6 years. When children graduate from the primary shchool, they will have to continue to attend the middle school which need to 3 years to complete their studies. After they graduate from the middle school, children should have 2 choices:continue to study or working. When they choose to continue to study in high school, children will also face with 2 choices.Because high school education has 2 parts, 3-year junior high school program that children do not achieve the scores line of the ordinary high school and senior high school that children get the score of the school's requirement. Then, children prepare for the national college entrance examination. Examinations are designed separately for science and arts students. When they graduate from the university which can last 4-year course or college which can last 3-year course, children can get a certificate and diploma. Moreover, those people who have worked also can get their qualification from university through self-study exam.About the term and holiday,In China, all students have 2 terms which invole spring term(from February to July) and autumn term(from September to January) ,and 2 holidays which are summer holiday(2 months) and winter holiday(1 month) a year.Additionally, china education focus on the written examitation.
UK Education System:
The education system in the UK is divided into four main parts, primary education, secondary education, further education and higher education. Children in the UK have to legally attend primary and secondary education which runs from about 5 years old until the student is 16 years old.Primary education begins in the UK at age 5 and continues until age 11, comprising key stages one and two under the UK educational system. From age 11 to 16, students will enter secondary school and to start their move towards taking the GCSE's which learn more about secondary education in the UK. Primary and secondary education is mandatory in the UK. After age 16, education is optional.Chileren can leaver school or they have the option to extend into further education to take their A-Levels, GNVQ's, BTEC's or other such qualifications. UK students planning to go to college or university must complete further education. After students finish their further education, they can continue their higher education to gain their higher degree (such as gain their Bachelor degree ,Master degree and Doctor degree) or finish school and go into the working world. In UK, all students have 3 terms a year, which are spring term, summer term and autumn term. Also, they have 3 holiday:Easter holiday(about 2 weeks),Summer holiday(about 6 weeks) and Autumn term(about 2 weeks).Additionally,UK education pays attention to the practical operational capability and innovation.

UK government
The Government is led by the Prime Minister, who selects the other members of the Government. The government can be used to refer to all of the politicians who have been appointed by the monarch to help run government departments. The Prime Minister and the other most senior Ministers belong to the supreme decision-making committee, known as the cabinet.
The Cabinet is one of the most important parts of Government. It's made up of 20 of the most important ministers. The cabinet meets once a week and takes decisions about new policies, the implementation of existing policies and the running of the various government departments. Because all government members must be seen to agree, exactly who says what at these meetings is a closely guarded secret. It is the much of the real decision-making takes places in cabinet committees.
In britain unlike much of western europ, normally has single-party government. In other words, all members of the government belong to the same political party. The habit of singlparty government has helped to establish the tradition known as collective responsibility.Traditionally, british politicians have regarded coalition government as a bad ideas. In some countries the central governments have powers only because the states have given them powers. In Britain it is the other way around.Local government authorities only hae powers because the central government has given them powers. The system of local government is very similar to the system of nationsl government. There are elected representatives, cllde councillors(the equivalent of MPs).

The Gunpowder Plot
On the 5th November, 1605 there was an attempt by a small group of English traitors to blow up the Houses of Parliament using barrels of gunpowder hidden in a cellar underneath that building. They wanted to kill King James and the king’s leaders. We commemorate that event, and the fact that it failed, each year on the anniversary with a festival called Bonfire Night.

Halloween
Halloween, celebrated each year on October 31, is a mix of ancient Celtic practices, Catholic and Roman religious rituals and European folk traditions that blended together over time to create the holiday we know today. Straddling the line between fall and winter, plenty and paucity and life and death, Halloween is a time of celebration and superstition. Halloween has long been thought of as a day when the dead can return to the earth, and ancient Celts would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off these roaming ghosts. During the day, people celebrated with big bonfires, parades, and dressing up in costumes as saints, angels, and devils.

The disadvantages and advantages for the UK as a member in EU
In my opinion, the disadvantages for the UK as a member in EU as follows:
Firstly, Some economists argue that the trade and cost advantages of EMU have been grossly over estimated. There is little to be gained from moving from the present system which has some stability built into it, to the rigidities which EMU would bring. Then, there was a considerable loss of sovereignty, because national governments would lose the ability to control policy.Thirdly, the most important economic argument relates to the deflationary tendencies within the system.
In addition,it also some advantage for the UK as a member. At first,Transaction costs will be eliminated.Secondly, Uncertainty caused by Exchange rate fluctuations eliminated.Thirdly, single currency in single market makes sense.Trade and everything else should operate more effectively and efficiently with the Euro.Forthly, it brings considerable economic trade through the wiping out of exchange rate fluctuations, but as well as this it helps to lower costs to industry because companies will not have to buy foreign exchange for use within the EU. For them, EU represents the completion of the Single European Market.

My impression of the UK
I have been the uk for 3 weeks. From now on, I still remember I get off the plane to the first impression of the uk. It is very wonderful and amazing. The air of UK is very fresh. Now I stay in wales, which is the part of the uk.Cardiff, the capital of wales, is a bustling place. To this place,my first impression is very beautiful and quite, not too noisy. In addition,It aiso has a strong tradition culture.I love this place, love UK.
The Queen Victoria
The age of Queen Victoria in the uk was started In 1837 and ended in 1914.The Victoria of 18 years old married a German prince called Albert who is a great administrator three years later. The Victoria Monument was built to remember her after Queen Victoria died in 1901.
During the Victoria period, many important decisions were taken by the House of Commons, not by The Queen . The Houses of Parliament was completed in 1867.we still have seen it so far. The Queen Victoria’s history I am very interesting. At the same time,I believe I can learn more knowledge and culture from the Victoria age.
